Manchester United have announced that Erik ten Hag has left his role as manager.
The Dutchman departs the club after two-and-a-half years in charge, with his final match a 2-1 defeat to West Ham United on Sunday.
Ten Hag leaves Man Utd in 14th place in the Premier League, seven points off fourth spot, with the club only seven points above the relegation zone.
Ten Hag's appointment was announced in April 2022 and he led the club to two domestic trophies, winning the EFL Cup in 2022/23 and the FA Cup last season.
Assistant manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has been put in charge as interim head coach while the club recruit a permanent head coach.
How Ten Hag fared
Ten Hag arrived from Ajax and enjoyed a promising first campaign with Man Utd, with his side finishing third in the Premier League and winning the EFL Cup - their first major honour in six years.
Despite starting the season with two defeats, Ten Hag oversaw several impressive results, including victories over Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal.
They ended the season with 75 points, their second-best tally in the Premier League since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2012/13.

However, last season proved to be a difficult campaign for Ten Hag.
The club suffered several injuries in 2023/24, with first-choice defenders Luke Shaw and Lisandro Martinez missing much of the season, contributing to United’s struggles.
Man Utd conceded 58 goals, their most in a Premier League season, and suffered nine home defeats across all competitions, their most in a single campaign since recording the same number of losses in 1973/74.
The Red Devils were also knocked out in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, and an eighth-placed finish was their lowest in Premier League history.
However, the campaign ended on a positive note as they won the FA Cup, beating Man City 2-1 at Wembley, a result that also meant they qualified for the UEFA Europa League this season.
In the summer, Ten Hag extended his contract until June 2026 and said there was "complete unity" for the vision at the club.
When are Man Utd back in action?
Man Utd's next match is on Wednesday 30 October, as they take on Leicester City in the EFL Cup.
Their next Premier League match is on Sunday 3 November against Chelsea at Old Trafford.
